a day at the getty villa....

Posted by
laura (the beach..., United States) on 5 February 2011 in Architecture and Portfolio.

the getty villa is a beautiful and peaceful place. the grounds are amazing and the art collection is beyond belief. it reminds me a lot of the musee de rodin in paris. you can wander around all day and enjoy the garden. the villa is perched on a hilltop in malibu and overlooks the vast pacific ocean. today, the skies were very cooperative bringing wonderful clouds...

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

This is one of those that I feel just needs a tiny bit more shadow detail, in all other respects it is excellent.

@Curly: i agree and if my professor ever sees this i am sure he would have the same comment and a sour face to boot. i was shooting both film and digital yesterday and when the clouds rolled over i was so concerned with getting it on both medias that i got a little rushed when exposing on my digital. i could have pulled the exposure in post but i tried to stay as close to how i saw it in my viewfinder. i will be curious to see my shadow detail on my negative after i develop it in the darkroom on monday. stay posted...thank you for the comment, i am glad to see that someone is paying attention. much aloha 8:)
